Villa in the forest Minamigaoka House III
Minamigaoka area
[Construction underway] 210 million yen
Inspired by the tree-lined streets of larch and fir that characterize Minami-ga-oka villa area, we created a residence that incorporates the rich natural beauty of the area into the interior. The open-ceiling space dynamically displays the beams and columns, expressing the gaps and spaces created by the trees in nature inside the house.
Taking advantage of the difference in elevation of the land and incorporating a split-level floor, we created a three-dimensional sense of spaciousness within the room and a sense of unity with nature.
Minami-ga-oka, about a 5-minute drive from Karuizawa Station, is a tranquil brand villa area surrounded by rows of larch and fir trees.

Moss Garden House
Shirakabadai I Minamigaoka area
[Construction underway] 320 million yen
This home completely embraces the moss-covered stone wall beneath the large maple tree. The dining room, located in the atrium, flows seamlessly into the living room with its wide windows overlooking the stone wall, the earthen floor salon that opens onto the stone wall and garden, and the kitchen, where the stone wall, seen through the dining room, appears carved out like a sculpture.
The outside is enclosed by exterior walls and stone walls, and we planned to create a garden that is open yet calm and tranquil. In summer, you can spend time in the garden surrounded by the lush shade of maple leaves and the moss-covered stone walls, and in winter, you can calmly and quietly gaze upon the stone walls standing in the light of snow. By incorporating the ever-changing expressions of the stone walls into the home, we created a home where the place and comfort changes with the seasons.
